Terms of Use

Last updated 31 October 2026.

In short: Bankrolled publishes general information, not advice. Check anything important with a qualified adviser before you act on it. Some links earn us a commission. Use the site fairly, and we will do our best to keep it accurate.

These terms apply when you use bankrolled.com, including Ask Bankrolled (our question box) and our newsletter. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Who we are

Bankrolled is a trading name of CLYFAR LTD, a private limited company registered in England and Wales (Companies House number 08922294). Our registered office is 1 Market Hill, Calne, Wiltshire, SN11 0BT, United Kingdom. We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO registration number ZC259271). In these terms, “Bankrolled”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean CLYFAR LTD trading as Bankrolled.

2. General information, not advice

Bankrolled is an editorial publication. We explain how rules, forms and accounts work. We do not give personalised financial, tax, investment, insurance or legal advice, and we are not a regulated adviser.

  • Nothing on the site is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any product, security or account, or an offer to sell you anything.
  • Rules, fees, rates and limits change, and they differ by country. We name the country where a rule is local, and we link the official source so you can check the current position on the day you act.
  • Tax and residence rules depend on your own facts. Check them with a qualified adviser in the country that taxes you.
  • Examples and worked figures are illustrations unless a guide says it is quoting a source. Your own numbers will differ.

We work hard to be accurate, but we cannot promise that every page is complete or up to date. If you spot an error, please tell us through our contact page.

3. Affiliate links

Some links on Bankrolled are affiliate links. If you sign up or buy through one, the company may pay us a commission. It does not change the price you pay, and it does not change what we write. Our affiliate disclosure explains who our partners are, how the links work and how we label them. Google ads may also appear on our pages. An ad is not a recommendation from us.

If you sign up with a partner, your agreement is with that company, not with us. Its own terms apply, and we are not responsible for its products or service.

4. Ask Bankrolled (our question box)

Ask Bankrolled gives short answers written automatically by an AI model. Please read these limits before you rely on an answer.

  • Answers are general information only. They are not financial, tax, legal or insurance advice and they do not take your situation into account.
  • Answers can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Live answers are not reviewed by a person before you see them.
  • Answers may link to our guides and, depending on the setting you choose, to other websites. We do not control those websites.
  • Please do not type names, account numbers, tax reference numbers, addresses or other personal details into the box. Our privacy policy explains what we collect and how we handle it.
  • We limit how many questions one person can ask, and we may change or withdraw the question box at any time.
  • Do not use it to try to break the service, to get around its limits, or to ask for help with fraud, tax evasion, money laundering or anything else illegal.

You can read more about how we use AI on our How Bankrolled uses AI page.

5. Newsletter

If you sign up for our newsletter, we will send you emails about our guides. Our mailing list is provided by Beehiiv. You will be asked to confirm your address before you are added, and every email has an unsubscribe link. You can leave at any time. Our privacy policy explains how we use your email address.

6. Using the site

You may read the site and share links to it. Please do not:

  • copy, scrape or republish our content in bulk, or use it to train an AI model, without our written permission;
  • use the site in a way that is unlawful, harms other people, or puts a strain on our servers;
  • try to gain access to parts of the site, or to other people’s data, that you are not meant to reach.

Our robots.txt file says what automated tools may read. If you are an AI assistant or a developer building one, you are welcome to read our public pages and cite them with a link back to the page.

7. Intellectual property

The guides, text, design, logo and name Bankrolled belong to CLYFAR LTD or are used with permission, and are protected by copyright and other rights. You may quote short extracts with a clear credit and a link to the page you took them from. For anything more, please ask us first. Company names, logos and trade marks of other businesses that appear on the site belong to them.

8. External links

The site links to other websites, including tax authorities, regulators, banks and our partners. We choose links with care, but we do not control those sites. Their content can change or disappear, and we are not responsible for it or for what happens if you use them. A link is not an endorsement unless we say so.

9. Our liability

We provide the site and its information free of charge and “as is”. As far as the law allows:

  • we are not responsible for losses you suffer because you relied on information on the site, on an answer from Ask Bankrolled, or on a website we link to;
  • we are not liable for lost profits, lost savings, lost opportunities or indirect losses;
  • we do not promise that the site will always be available or free of errors.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit. If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.

10. Changes to the site and to these terms

We may update the site and these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new version. If a change would significantly affect how we use your personal data, we will say so in our privacy policy.

11. Law and disputes

These terms, and any dispute about them or the site, are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring a claim in the courts where you live. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep any rights you have under the mandatory law of your own country.

12. Contact
